Le court métrage tunisien « My Name is Iman » réalisé par Najet Hadriche avec en tête d’affiche l’actrice Meriam Ben Hassine a été retenu dans le cadre du festival de Cannes, édition 2016.
Le film d’une durée de 20 minutes, tourné à Abu Dhabi avec la participation de l’acteur Atef Ben Hassine retrace l’histoire d’une jeune militante tunisienne qui a vécu l’enfer dans les prisons tunisiennes.

أسمى إيمان …من تونسكان هذا عنوان الفلم الذى قمت بإخراجه سنة 2014 بنيويورك فيلم أكادمى ،و الذى يتناول معاناة المرأة و المناضلة بتونس طيلة فترة الاستبداد.يوم 14 جانفى 2011 تزاحمت بداخلى الذكريات و السنوات الطوال .كلية الحقوق. حجرة سقراط .وجوه الرفاق .شوارع تونس و أزقتها، و الهتافات من كل أنحاء المدينة .و نحن تتزاحم بالمسيرات، و نلهث وراء حلمنا الجميل. حلما بسيطا ،فقط ان نرى يوما، تونس حرة جميلة، بألف لون و لون.حلما ان نكون شريكات حقيقيات، فى وطن، شردت الكثيرات، و اغتصبت و سجنت و اهينت بسبب مواقفهن .لا ادرى بالضبط لم قررت ان ادرس الإخراج السنماءي و لكننى اعلم جيدا أننى و بقدر عزوفى فترة ما بعد الثورة عن السياسة بقدر رغبتى الجامحة فى التعبير و المساهمة و لو بجزء بسيط فى التعريف بهذه الفترة الصعبة و الجميلة فى ذات الوقت . اعرض بعض المشاهد من الفيلم القصير ‘أسمى إيمان ..من تونس ” تمثيل عاطف بن حسين و مريم بالحاج احمد و آمنة بوسلامة . مرفوقا بصوت الرائعة آمال المثلوثى “كلمتى حرة ” My name is ImanThis is the title of the film that I directed in 2014. The film addresses the difficulties that women activists faced in Tunisia during the years of oppression under Ben Ali. On January 14, 2011, my head was flooded with memories of those years: my days in law school, Socrates’ Room where we gave our impassioned speeches, the faces of comrades, the streets and alleyways of Tunis, marching together in demonstrations, chasing our beautiful dream of a free Tunisia.The women of Tunisia fought bravely to realize this dream, and they did so as full and equal partners to the men with whom they marched. Many of us were exiled, assaulted, imprisoned and humiliated because of our convictions. I don’t know what really propelled me to study filmmaking, but I knew that my frustration with politics was a driving force, as was my desire to give expression to this difficult, though in many ways beautiful, period in the history of my country.Here, I present to you some scenes from the short film, “My Name is Iman,” with Atef Ben Hasan and Maryam Belhaj Ahmed and Emna Bousalama, and with the song, My word is Free, by Emel Mathlouthi– made with love and in the spirit of the Tunisian revolution.
